Gesamtvorstandssitzung und digitale Mitgliederversammlung des CU im Jahr 2020

Am 14. September fand die erste Sitzung des CU-Gesamtvorstands statt. Diskutiert wurde die strategische Ausrichtung des CU in zentralen Handlungsfeldern. Um die Zukunft ging es auch bei der zweiten CU-Mitgliederversammlung, die am 6. November coronabedingt erstmals online stattfand. Die jeweils hohe Beteiligung unterstreicht das vitale Interesse der CU-Mitglieder an ihrem Netzwerk

CU-AG „Aufwandsschätzung“ meldet: CFK-Top-Down-Kostenschätzung verfügbar

„Wie viel wird das kosten?“ – Bauteile aus kohlenfaserverstärkten Kunststoffen (CFK) gelten immer noch als teuer und werden deshalb häufig nicht in Betracht gezogen. Um hier Abhilfe zu schaffen, arbeitet die CUArbeitsgruppe „Aufwandsschätzung“ an einer Top-Down-Kostenevaluation in der CFK-Fertigung. Nun ist das Ziel erreicht: ein möglichst umfassendes Planungstool, um zum Beispiel in Angebotsgesprächen Kosten auch für neue Bauteile schnell abschätzen zu können.

Carbon goes Naturschutz

Statt Kahlschlag: Recycelte Rotorblätter erhalten alte Bäume für die Natur

Die Rotorblätter von Windkraftanlagen müssen spätestens alle 20 Jahre erneuert werden. Franz Weißgerber verwertet die darin enthaltenen meterlangen Carbonstreben neu. Ideen dafür hat er reichlich. Sein jüngster Coup: Carbonstreben als dauerhafte Stützen für alte Bäume, die sonst aus Sicherheitsgründen gefällt werden müssten. Im Augsburger Stadtwald steht seit Juli 2020 ein „Pilotbaum“.

Sucessful launch of CU Online

More than 2500 participants in 35 CUlive web Seminar so far

"CU Online - CU prepared for future" and "CU ONline - CU members Innovation"are the titles of the first two web seminar series of Composites United e.V. , which are firmly established since April and September 2020. Since then, around 30 experts from the CU network have held live web seminars on specific topics relatedrelated to composites and lightweight construction. Participation is free of charge for CU members.
